Who will love me for me?

God’s love is unique, for God loves simply. His forgiveness knows no bounds, his promises no limit. His love is not unrealistic, it is not frustratingly unattainable. His love is absolute.

In the video above, JJ Heller sings, “Who will love me for me?” This is the cry of every person’s heart, every broken person who has sunken so low he or she cannot find his or her way. This is the cry of a person who has nowhere to turn, and finds, unexpectedly, that God is everywhere, that love was always at hand. This is the cry of a person who is ready to discover love.

The true love of God is the spirit of the holiday season. As we prepare for meals, let us give thanks. As we prepare for gift giving, let us rejoice. As we prepare for family reunions, let us remember him who is our Father.
